On behalf of the National Instructors’ College Abilonino (NICA), I warmly welcome you to our vibrant and dynamic community of learners, instructors, and innovators. The Office of the Dean of Students serves as the heartbeat of student life at the College. We are dedicated to ensuring that every student enjoys a supportive and inclusive environment where they can thrive academically, socially, and personally. Through guidance, mentorship, and co-curricular activities, we work to shape well-rounded graduates who are responsible, disciplined, and ready to serve society.

The management of National Instructors’ College Abilonino(NICA) introduced this department in 2016 to handle the affairs of the students. So far 4 different officers have been in this office namely; Mr.Oluoch Dickens (2015 – 2016), The late Mr.Okiror Charles Akol (2017 – 2021), Ms. Akongo Dorcas Janet (2021 – 2024) and currently Mr. Lolu Moses Igaru (2024 -2025).
The department have several activities connected to the body of the students namely; advocacy for students needs to the Principal especially student activities, clubs, residence, students office to mention but a few. The department promotes values such as respect, integrity and inclusion among the students and manage crisis such as health challenges or abrupt student death, develops, interprets and implement policies related to students such as code of conduct, rules and regulations.
SOME STUDENT ACTIVITIES AT THE NATIONAL INSTRUCTORS COLLEGE ABILONINO
Management giving orientation to the freshers of 2025/2026 academic year.
Each year the office of the dean of dean of students organize orientation sessions for the freshers at least for three times in the first week for the purpose of getting them acquainted to the environment and settle amicably
The College is non-denominational and accepts all religious groups without segregation/favouritism. Every end of the program is marked with wonderful activities of
Every year the college train students on Patriotism for two weeks to instill sense of love for the country, loyalty, responsibility, national unity, develop discipline, character and to uphold constitutional duty . The training incorporates the Uganda Peoples Defence department, Police and the key District leaders of Kole Local Government
